Reasonable Blackjack Online

There are thirteen blackjack card counters on the dozen. Most of them lose money live. Everyone loses money online.

It’s a rather funny how every novice card counter – however fresh they may be at their counting abilities – erroneously believe that they’ll automatically scope in those profits and Malibu homes. Let me therefore provide you all with some well-chosen words of wisdom. Counting cards live is difficult. Doing so online is impossible.

It’s something of a mystery to me how card counters at blackjack, once they’ve learned the ABC of the trade, approach the vocation with invincibility. Blackjack is tough enough as it is at your local live casino. Don’t mistake that for blackjack online, for that is a whole other story. Those two versions of blackjack are altogether different.

At online blackjack the cards are reshuffled after every single round. There’s no deep dealing. Therefore, there’s no edge to be found. Everything about blackjack is about the penetration (I’ll abstain from making cheap cracks here …).

At best, whenever playing blackjack online, you may achieve an RTP in the 99 range. This presumes you play perfect blackjack basic strategy. Any deviations from those are at the expense of additional losses. A lower blackjack RTP. Don’t go there. Simply don’t go there.

So why then should one bother to play blackjack online? Well, just like you play slots or roulette where the odds are stacked permanently against you, blackjack should be approached with the same mindset. You play blackjack online in Canada for the fun of it. For the recreation and the excitement. Don’t play blackjack (or any other casino game, too, for that matter) with the anticipation of making money.

Does this then mean that winning money at blackjack online is a futile endeavour? Not really, but still yes. Confused yet? Please allow me to elaborate.

Playing mere basic strategy at online blackjack will put you at an automatic disadvantage that you will never overcome on its own. If, however, you combine your online casino blackjack experience with a good welcome bonus, you may in fact end up with something of an edge, however tiny.

However, despite gaining a theoretical edge at online blackjack, the profits that may stem from any such endeavour are slim at best. We’re talking a couple of bucks per hour if you’re lucky.

So, yes, it is possible to beat online blackjack. The problem is that you’ll need to be in constant motion to move money around from one online casino to another. It quickly turns into a energy consuming project and, as with so many other things in life, playing blackjack online for the money alone is a rather sad proposition. And throw to the mix how any mistakes or emotion-ridden deviations from the blackjack basic strategy will eat into your already meagre margins. It’s just not worth it.

Blackjack is a fantastic game to put it mildly. But approach it in the right way. If you are in it to make money, playing blackjack online sure isn’t the way to do it. If, however, you’re looking for a good time, if you’re a devoted blackjack enthusiast as are we, then do sit down and enjoy a blackjack session or two online. You’ll sure get to play many blackjack hands per hour.

All I am saying here is: don’t be a moron. The wonderful world of blackjack has one too many of them already. Simply put: we’re full!
